Wishing Well School is committed to addressing the needs of our students and families through collaboration among the four essential bodies:

1.The Faculty

This group of exceptional and highly-trained individuals are responsible for all things pedagogical and spiritual. They are dedicated to bringing the children a living experience of Waldorf-inspired education. A faculty meeting is held every week to review and refine the educational and operational components of the school. Class Teachers & Subject Teachers work together to create an integrated, consistent approach to student learning. In our program, the faculty are directly involved in the operations and decision-making of the school, always speaking for what best serves and meets the needs of the child. Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the classrooms, presenting the curriculum, preparing and inspiring our festival life, and working directly with children and parents, they also serve as an advisory body to the Administrative Director and the Guiding Committee.

the guiding committee

The Guiding Committee is comprised of faculty members representing the Early Childhood, the Grades, and the Specialty Teachers, as well as the Administrative Director. This committee provides structural and decision-making support to the school. The committee is responsible for reviewing and adopting school policy, as well as providing guidance and resolution for unique difficulties that arise for our students and families. The Guiding Committee may be reached at [email protected].

2. THE OFFICE

The office team provides the necessary structural and procedural support to our faculty -- in service to the students and families. The operational and administrative work of the school is designed and intended to ensure that the classroom experience meets the highest quality of teaching, learning, and care. The logistical, planning, communications, and execution of the needs of the school, the teachers, the students, and the families are all met by the dedicated and caring office staff. These individuals strive to provide consistent, reliable, and dependable support to our students and families. No question or need is too big or too small for our office staff -- they are here to serve.

Administrative Director

The Administrative Director oversees the operational and executive functions of the school, aids the development and implementation of policy, maintains the organizational structures and professional processes, and organizes the flows of communication and information which support the faculty and staff to provide an exceptional, meaningful education experience. The Administrative Director reports directly to the Board and works closely with the Faculty Chair to help Wishing Well School achieve its goals and strive toward excellence.

3. The Board of directors

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in California, Wishing Well School is governed by a Board of Directors. Our Board supervises the school administration and is fully responsible for the legal, financial, and fiduciary well-being of our school. Our Board is comprised of parents, teachers, and administration, who are collectively responsible for providing a steady anchor for our school, enabling the work of the faculty and office to be fulfilled successfully.

4. The Parent COMMUNITY

The parent and caregiver community weaves the heart fabric of our school. Through connected vision, purpose, and values, our family of families provides inspiration, passion, and the spirit of regeneration to our school. By supporting the activities of the classroom, the needs of our teachers, and our many festivals & events, our families create the feeling life of our school. Warmth, connection, and compassion unite our many families and support our students everyday. In addition, the Parent Association provides a meaningful outlet for caregivers to be involved, engaged, and make an impact. Through their work, the Parent Association supports our school through the following three goals: 1) building community (bonfires & fun events, life changes, meal trains, and more); 2) supporting faculty (lunches & meals, seasonal gifting); and, 3) organizing fundraising efforts. The Parent Association is open to all parent or caregiver members of our community.
