“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives.”
– , founder of Waldorf Education
The program is open to children 2 years 9 months through 5 and is taught by a certified Waldorf teacher. The goal is to nurture and protect the young child’s sense of wonder and imagination. Children are encouraged to play, explore and imagine in a loving environment filled with natural materials.
There will be three sessions, one 2-week session and two 3-week sessions. Each session is Monday through Thursday from 9a.m. until 1p.m. You can either choose two days or four days a week.
Session 1: Things are cookin’!
June 22 – July 2
Welcome to the kitchen! During these 2 weeks we’ll be cooking or baking something new each day.
Session 2: Art is everywhere!
July 13 – 30
Art is everywhere! We’ll paint, sculpt, glue, felt, crayon and glitter all we can.
Session 3: Let’s get wet!
Aug. 10 -27
Explore the wonderful world of water! We’ll splash, sprinkle, bubble and get wet. Please provide sunscreen, towel and suit for this session. Foggy day plan, itsy bitsy bugs.
Our daily rhythm will include outdoor play, nature walks, storytelling, songs, cooking and baking, crafts, toy making, games and water play.
A midmorning organic snack will be provided. Each child must bring a lunch.
Summer on the coast calls for lots of layers. Morning fog can burn off and that sun is hot! Please dress your child accordingly. Also, please make sure your child has a full change of clothes, just in case!
Please do not send your child to camp if he/she has had a fever or vomited in the last 24 hours. If your child has green snot please consider allowing your child to have a rest day at home. There will be no refunds for illness or scheduled absence.
